Manufacture of commercial aircraft replacement interior components. Duties included building jigs, measuring, cutting and bending or trimming, cleaning and assembly of parts, labelling and bagging/boxing.

Started as N/C Programmer, then Loft Engineer using 3-D wireframe and then surface programs and teaching same. Laid off 2 yr, came back doing similar work, then verifying and connecting suppliers all over world to receive secure data from Boeing, and packaging and sending data.

Parker Bertea Aerospace – Lake Forest, CA about 10 months 1983 running CNC machines. Also led “Quality Circle” program there. Got “recruited” to McDonnell Douglas to learn and do RAPID CNC Programming.

Ford Aerospace/DIVAD - Lake Forest, CA 3 years to 1983 (Contract cancelled) Running and reprogramming CNC machines, mainly 3 axis “Tre” mill, and led Quality Circle team.

NL Shaffer – Brea, CA 10 months running big horizontal CNC mills until price of oil crashed and we were out of business building the best oilfield equipment.

J.C. Carter Co. – Costa Mesa, CA 2+ years 1979-1980 Running 3-axis CNC mill making fuel pumps for F-16, and multi spindle drill presses. Also organized all mill tooling and cleaned and painted shop while machine running.

Westinghouse/Marley – Orange, CA 1975-1979 Started prepping large pipes and plates for weld, then started machining with big 6’ radial arm drill, then ran big NC (mylar tape controlled X-Y location) gundrill and bigger 42-spindle (up to 2” each drill) gangdrill with 10’x13’ bed. We were building heaters and condensers for nuclear power plants, approx. 40 tons each, and I learned Safety First.
