BeeGee is a shrimp is a shrimp processing plant where we process shrimp and other seafood. I put shrimp on a tray to be cooked, I got buckets of shrimp off the line and put in my tray so they can be peeled and deveined thru a machine and go into a tub of ice water. Leisure Way was a plate manufacturing plant. I worked on a machine that made paper plates, 5 stacks at a time. We had to put them in a bag and put on a conveyor to be packaged and stacked on a pallet.

Packaged finished products into boxes, cartons and containers for shipping to customers. I started out in the Pizza room. I did everything on the line except the sauce. They shut the room down and got sent to another room where we made lasagna and quiche. We had oblong pans for the lasagna where we layered the ingredients, then put on a tray then put on a cart to go to cooker. We also made quiche, in little pie tins and they went on a cart to the cooker. I got sent to the salad room where we only had 2 lines. I helped the operator put labels in the machine. I ran the the packing end of the line where we had to hand-pack the salads in a box, then put boxes thru a tape machine then stacked on a pallet and wrapped.

Continuously cleaned and organized work areas to remove safety hazards and maintain a minimum level of production errors. Readied finish products for shipping by packing products. I've worked in Salad stack-off, now that things are automated. We made sure the pallets were stacked neatly, so they can be wrapped without falling apart. We had to count the last pallet correctly, the put that number on the last lot card so shipping knew how many cases were on the pallet. Helped to produce high quality salad products each day. Routed materials correctly with accurate shipping orders and bills of lading..When I started doing shipping, I only had a forklift to take pallets to different areas of the plant and put on trailers. I loaded stuff from the salad room and our Thanksgiving sides that we used to make. We made sandwiches too, which I went to Produce to pick up the meat and cheese for them. I worked at MCW (another warehouse). They sent the salads over there, then we used a double jack to unload them and then used a forklift to put pallets in the racks. We had to clean the belts the cups ran on too. We had to take the filler pipes off and put in a COP tank to be cleaned, then put back on and clean rest of the line. I learned how to clean the stack off area too, with help from another person. We took things apart back there to clean. After that, we had the lines inspected by QA, then sanitized for production the next day.

Protected personnel by using proper PPE gear and safety procedures. Supported workers by restocking workstation, restroom, and breakroom supplies. Contributed to consumer safety with in-depth equipment cleaning, using strong attention to detail to catch every area of possible contamination. I had to clean the front dock when I came in so the shipping crew had a clean place to unload their trailers. I worked on the back dock, taking care of things there, using a forklift and electric pallet jack to move things around. . I had to pick up the trash combos in the hallway and empty them, and pick up recycle stuff and put on trailer to go to our recycle facility near by. We had to keep the room clean by picking things off the floor like, cups, lids, and food, especially when a whole tub of product fell over and couldn't be used anymore. We had to take care of the drains off and on so they didn't overflow. We used a tub of water to clean the floor and free of debris so people didn't slip and fall. We had to empty all the trash cans and take back for cleaning, then we had to clean up the trash area and take the last combo out in the hallway before we left for the night. EDUCATION
