Employed docker files to build a virtual internet network in Ubuntu. Used a docker map of the network to visualize the attack. These were done through an emulator.
Implanted a worm inside the network which slowly started to spread through the local network. The wide replication of the worm infected the whole Local Area Network (LAN) in the virtual environment.
Buffer Overflow vulnerability was exploited in the network; as a result the whole virtual network was infected with the worm. To mitigate the spread of the worm the local networks were disabled in the virtual environment.
