Site Coordinator:

The Midtown Group with the DHS PEP-V Program, Washington, DC During a two (2) year period I provided services within three of the Pandemic Emergency Program for Medically Vulnerable Individuals (PEP-V). While working three of the PEP-V hotels sites duties, during a12- hour shift, included supporting the coordination of the delivery of services required by individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Site Coordinator my duties include monitoring residents by making note of the time they depart and return to the property while recording their temperature during the heighten part of the COVID check period. Making note of the resident’s condition (mental/physical) upon their daily return to the shelter was also required. Duties also included the delivery of meals, wellness checks, completing laundry tickets for outgoing laundry via a service or self-laundry. Coordinated the development of a resident led crocheting class to provide an engaging and fun activity. I also provided an inspiring historical poster display during Black History Month. As a community event coordinator/planner I engage with others in order to identify and clarify a community need or concern. In 2016 coordinated a free Stationary Engineering Training Class, using the DC Public Library meeting rooms. In 2019 begin working with a Neurobehavioral Scientist, Neuropsychologists, Cultural Anthropologist, and others to plan a Black Mental Health Conference scheduled for Spring 2020. This event was postponed due to COVID-19.
