Healthcare Customer Service

Since 2016, I have been a Customer Service Representative/Pharmacy Technician for Omnicare – A CVS Healthcare Company. I field calls from nurses and other medical professionals, answering questions about filling prescriptions for residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities. I also track medications that are on back-order or have high copays – informing family members of their financial responsibility,

For five years, I answered customer questions about health insurance benefits and claims for Great West Healthcare which is now part of CIGNA. I also initiated pre-certifications for hospital stays and loaded physician referrals into a database. In previous call center positions, I fielded calls for hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. My quality assurance scores have always been superior, and I am both caring and diligent.

Technical Communication

My broad-based writing experience includes designing, writing, editing, and producing user manuals for software used in the aerospace, higher education, manufacturing, and construction arenas.

In addition, I’ve written quick reference guides for word processing and data entry trainees. For McDonnell Douglas Corporation, I also edited governmental proposals and Computer-Based Training modules.
