Oversight of the whole preload operation that consists of an Area Manager, 10 Operation Managers, and one hundred sixty package handlers. Seeing that we are operating safely, productively, and working well with one another creating a fun enjoyable environment. Managed package handlers and helped cover other areas for managers that weren’t present. Kept track of company production and informed each individual on where they stood and if they needed to improve. Built relationships with people so that they could have someone to ask questions if uncertain about a situation. Took on a new position that is very limited throughout the whole company and have made a difference for the short time that I’ve been in that role.

My role was to manage two van lines that consisted of 12 package handlers helping to better themselves by giving them knowledge of what the company standards and policies are.

Presented QDM to not just my package handlers but to other managers as well on how to process work more efficiently and become more productive while cutting down on TLH.

Checks to make sure inbound and outbound loads have all the correct paperwork and signatures.

Help to unload and load trucks in a timely manner. Make sure all skids are fully wrapped and packaged correctly and notating all damages on BOL’s. Conduct safety walks in all aisles and bays to make sure all safety rules are being adhered to. Communicate with drivers and customers on special loads that are coming in and leaving the warehouse. Assure products were properly packaged and shipped out according to our mandatory schedule. Checked for damaged and/or defective material when receiving. Maintained monthly inventory counts for all products in the entire building. Notify customers when their order is ready to be shipped or will called. Looked over all sales orders making sure there were no duplicate orders. Checked in parts from our distributors, double checking that the order list matches up with what we received. Informed my supervisor and salesperson, shorted or missing any items from shipment. Pulled parts for each order printed, grabbing only what is asked for on the order form.

Separated reels of wire onto their own pallets and created a log sheet to maintain accurate counts of wire for inventory.

Loaded orders for our drivers according to the fastest route possible.
