Legacy Harlem, Harlem, NY — Camp Counselor

● At the Legacy beacon in Harlem, my job was to supervise a variety of different children in a range of age groups that attended the summer camp.

Bamboo Yoshi, New York, NY — Sales Associate

● I advertised Bamboo Yoshi’s products which were alternatives to styrofoam. I advised business owners in the downtown manhattan area and throughout the five boroughs about New York City’s styrofoam ban and convinced them to make the mandatory switch from styrofoam to a better alternative. I was hired through NYC’s Summer Youth Employment Program

(SYEP) to work for eight weeks during that summer. I talked to store owners/managers. In the end, I collected more than 150 signatures for the duration of the 8 weeks that I worked with them.

● My job entailed helping the head counselor organize our group’s classroom and plan activities for the second graders that I worked with. I also helped create projects and academic lesson plans to get the kids ready for their upcoming school year. In addition, I went on trips in and around the work site and supervised the kids as well.
