Responsible for day-to-day management of terminal operations delivering goods to and from the Kroger Distribution Center accurately and on time. Enforce ethical standards, rules of conduct, safety and attendance for terminal staff and administer discipline. Knowledgeable and work within DOT guidelines. Collaborating with vendors to schedule side projects, transfers, salvage pickups. Administer contracts with owner operators, third-party carriers and other vendors. Coordinate the flow of information between the terminal and various corporate departments. Facilitate compliance with all federal, state and local regulations impacting terminal operations. Created and analyzed daily and weekly reports, KPIs, of contractor/ driver average miles/ revenue to maintain fair and consistent assignment of loads over the entire fleet. Monitor the status of deliveries in progress to prevent service failures. Support and assist staff during breakdowns by arranging repowers and repair/ towings. Reroute trucks or request a change in the delivery window in order to avoid possible service failures. Communicate with drivers in regards to monthly maintenance, OOS tractors, and recent breakdowns. Manually built loads in LME (LoadMaster), weekly verifying of loads accompanied with Excel to ensure payroll/invoice is correct. Perform dispatcher duties in their absence. Participate in after-hours meetings or conference calls.

Dispatched and monitor tractors that transported goods to and from Kroger Distribution Center. I am knowledgeable of the DOT guidelines and dispatch drivers who has enough hours to drive in order to complete pickups and deliveries. Communicate with drivers via phone and text. Scheduled and confirmed drivers routes for the next day. Re-route or create a solution to deliver goods during a breakdown to prevent service failures. Advise customers of pick-up and delivery times and also send updated notifications if deliveries will be late. I kept the TMS updated with accurate information.

Dispatch and monitor cargo vans, sprinters, straight trucks and tractor trailer drivers to each pick-up and delivery destination within agreed upon schedule. Schedule pickup dates and times. Communicate to drivers using phone and texts. Re-route drivers as needed. Update customers regarding estimated delivery or pick-up time (ETA) or notification of late delivery. Give quotes to customers in order to win bids to gain orders. Send customers an email with the final charges for their deliveries once they are completed. Add and advise customers of accessorial charges when needed. Sometimes worked from home overnight and holidays when coverage was needed.

●Dispatcher Courier Connection 05/13- 10/14

Dispatch and monitor 80 drivers to each pick-up and delivery destination within agreed upon schedule. Schedule pickup dates and times. Communicate to drivers using phone and/or two-way radios. Initial Position-Customer Service Representative. Provided information to motorist regarding travel throughout the state of Georgia. Promoted to a Console Operator. Assisted motorist whose vehicles had stalled by submitting call in requests to H.E.R.O units. Assisted Emergency Response Units and Construction Engineers with necessary procedures; provided materials and labor for clean up of highway areas in order to maintain open lanes on the roads.
