Starting position of Packer; daily task of packing delicate food items for school districts under tight deadlines, ensuring all was done within the assigned time and up to food codes. In November 2013 promoted to Line Lead with duties consisting of managing a large group of employees ensuring that the daily quota of packaging was met on the strict and tight deadline given, all within food code sanitary guidelines. In January 2014, promoted to Quality Control. Responsible in ensuring that production department was following the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), which is a system for ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards. Monitored products production, ensuring that the product was turning out as customer requested all while ensuring all GMP guidelines were followed. In March 2014, promoted to Quality Control Foreman with the responsibility of overseeing a team of QC technicians along with over 250 employees in the production department. Overlooked both departments ensuring all tasks were completed following all GMP guidelines. Directly handled all special assignments for USDA, auditors, and clients such as Denny’s, Chili’s, Disneyland, Costco, Sam’s Club, Church’s Chicken, Burger King, Del Taco, Carl’s Jr, and school districts, as well as potential clients. I was also expected to reach a certain number of calls throughout the day. Within three weeks I was trained in some of the order support field . Starting position of a Quality Control technician, My daily tasks consist of monitoring the products temperature, ran multiple lines at the same time, ensured information of all incoming shipments were accurate, I did swabbing of machinery, as well as sampling for laboratories. I also performed pre op every morning before production began and I assist in paperwork filling. I also help implement GMPs and assist production employees in any questions they have regarding the quality of the product.

Santa Monica seafood PRODUCTION LEAD

As production lead, my daily task was making sure thousands of boxes were being pushed out on a daily basis. The area that I was in charge of was the VAP (value added production )room which produced vacuum, sealed packages that were distributed to brands, such as Walmart, Aldi’s and many other big clients. As production lead, my responsibility was to oversee the GMP’s being followed as well as quality and efficiency of the production being made on a daily basis by over 30 plus packer employees. Other Responsibilities consisted of helping production employees, training multivac operators, bizerba scanners, and new packer employees while also ensuring safe handling procedures being made in the room. I also helped with covering brakes lunches and covering any employee that called off on their schedule day. I was their senior lead and I was the only lead that was sent to other states to train new employees that were going to start up new additional locations of SMS. I also assisted in many audits that helped the success of the company.
