KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ore Receiving

Effectively operates conveyer belts on auto or manually convey ore from the bunkers to the silo for storage.

Logging of arrival and departure times of road trains in log sheets and log books, doing a thorough equipment check list to identify defects on conveyer belts, rollers and chutes,. Reports immediately any faults or breakdowns equipment such as instruments and machinery.

Hourly logging of conveyed tonnage from the weightometer and takes silo levels and communicate with milling guys giving them actual silo level and total conveyed tonnage,.

Milling Section

Makes sure that steel balls are added into the sag mill and ball mill daily to maintain all mills power at required levels.

Checks the milling sections grinds at least four times per shift and reports the percentage to the plant foreman.

Checking the under flows and over flows of the cyclones and reports if they are not roping

Part of the relining team during removing and replacing liners from the both sag mill and ball mills.

Checks manual densities both Ball and SAG mills and floatation feed pulp.

Make sure housekeeping is effectively done.

Flotation section

Follow laid down procedure on the operation of the roughers, rougher’s scavengers, cleaners and recliners to maximize recovery through adjusting air flow and depressant addition depending with the mass pull required and concentrate grade

Hourly measurement of reagents such as SIBX Collector, frothier, copper sulphate activator and NASH dosing rates and adjust to require rates if there is any deviation and recording this on log sheets.

Stock tank levels of these reagents to see if there is enough for the shift and recommend for mixing and preparing for new mixes.

Continuously monitors performance of cell agitators, pumps, and sample cutters to avoid getting distorted results.

Coordinates with maintenance team to carry out maintenance and other plant activities.

Makes sure that housekeeping if effectively done in my area of work

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

1.Secondary - St Francis Secondary (1993-1996) (7) O level including English and Mathematics.

2.City and Guilds Certificates in Part 1 and Part 2 in Electronics Serving.

3.Certificate of participation in basic occupational safety and health

4.Certificate in thunder bolt operation

5.Valid First Aid Certificate

6.Certificate in overhead cranes operation

7.Certificate in radiation safety programme.
