Rural Metro Ambulance Service July 2001-June 2003: Emergency Medical Technician Basic, commercial ambulance basic life support provider that ran mostly non emergency transfer interfacility calls, some very long distances, over 100 miles, administered supplemental oxygen and suctioned airways when necessary, supervised psychiatric patients, comforted Alzheimer’s Dementia patients while enroute to their predetermined destination, documented all calls and patient care/interventions. At Rural Metro, I made a suggestion to head shift supervisor that we get rid of our long-handle stair chairs, because they would potentially bend and break when carrying adult patients of any size, and he agreed with me, and instructed me to get rid of the whole inventory of long-handle stair chairs for the entire fleet and replace them with short handle stair chairs. Also, I loaded supplemental oxygen, portable and onboard oxygen, for the entire fleet, including critical care transport level of care vehicles.

Also worked for Transcare Ambulance, East Coast Ambulance, Amell Ambulance, and American Ambuance. Five Years total, sustained eight line of duty injuries, job description similar to above.
