Job Profile:

Perform process and mold qualifications, validations etc.

Provide ongoing direction and training on process development, root cause analysis and systematic problem solving.

Liaison between Molding, Tooling, R&D and Quality Engineering teams.

Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals and motivates individuals to achieve results.

Coordinate and monitor the activities of assigned process technicians, giving guidance and technical support to molding manager.

Troubleshoot molding / manufacturing processes to mitigate production defects.

Assist or coordinate the development of processes and molds/tooling necessary to produce new products.

Set up the injection process conditions according to the product characteristics.

Work contributes to the continual improvement of current products.

Keep in house a Mold History File/Database for each assigned mold, as well as a Mold Drawings History Record/Database.

Analyze plastic part quality problems as required and determine root cause traceable to mold conditions. Determine action plan and execute or support accordingly.

Conduct DOE's, identify and create new process concepts.

Ensure molds and processes are designed to be capable of producing good quality products efficiently and effectively at the lowest possible cost.
