Duties:

Measuring work pieces with straightedges so as to ensure correct specifications are met and thereby adhered to .

Preheating pipes and work pieces with the use of hand torches and heating furnace.

Accurately examining and measuring work pieces for defects and repairs.

Removing rough spots or loose metals from work pieces.

Constructing and repairing various metal parts by SMAW processes.

Cutting large metal objects into discardable pieces or for project use,by means or oxy fuel cutting or oxy- Acetylene cutting .

Notifying managers of any defective or faulty materials and or equipment.

Installing equipment & pipes such as lead pipes, valves, agitator blades and tank linings.

Constantly monitoring the processes of fitting, gouging and welding.

Fusing metal segments, using processes such as gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc and flux-cored arc welding.

Occasionally welding beams, buildings and other structures.

I was the major Fabricator employed by the company for years, taking on a variety of jobs, welding, cutting, constructing and repairing machines equipment etc. for JAMALCO—agitator blades, tractor buckets, hydraulic arms, tromel screens, flange to pipes, elbows to pipes (pipe fitting) and many more .

Working on a variety of projects, using SMAW Process and also flame cutting equipment, to cut or weld components and pipes. I have also done repairs on specialist welding equipment for major companies, done repairs on a wide variety of equipment for bauxite companies.

Welding of weldment with stainless steel, cast iron, chrome or aluminum electrodes .Excavator buckets, grills for churches, business places and private residences also incinerators and gun boxes for rifles and hand guns.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCES

Experience of working in the manufacturing and reconstruction of agitator blades, cones etc. for Aluminum plants, also in structural configuration of buildings.

Able to work from technical drawings .

Ability to be Team Leader overseeing projects making sure they meet deadlines set, ensuring that the working environment is safe.

Experience in HPHW systems installation and fabrication.

Ability to work from great heights scaffolding etc.

Experience in hand & powers tools eg. gas metal arc, welding equipment and shielded metal arc.

Experienced in Mig, MMA, Stick and Tig. Welding.

I also possess a General Drivers License (incl. motor cars & trucks).
