I have got about thirty-one year experiences in research management. During my jobs, I executed, coordinated, monitored and evaluated many research programs/projects, imparted training, supervised scientists and staffs, managed finance and administration, executed multi-disciplinary action research, adaptive trials and technology demonstrations. I effectively managed core research, and national and collaborative research programs/projects of the organization.

I am experienced in many organizations with different positions, viz. Scientific Officer at BINA, Crop Production Specialist at DAE and BSFIC-World Bank Project, Senior Scientific Officer, Principal Scientific Officer, Sub-Station in Charge, Regional Station in Charge, Research Coordinator, Chief Scientific Officer, Divisional Head, Director

(Research) at BSRI and finally, I served as Director General of Bangladesh Sugarcane Research Institute. I am also experienced in several countries and members in many professional societies in Bangladesh. I further worked as Principal Investigator (PI) of the project 'Azolla and Blue Green Algae in Rice Production’ at BINA, Site Coordinator of the 'National Farming System Research Project (FSR)-BSRI part', PI of DANIDA supported' Soil Fertility and Fertilizer Management Project (SFFP)-BSRI part', PI of ' BNF and Development of Bio-fertilizer for Sugarcane' sub-project under NATP: Phase-1, PCU, BARC. I served as Institutional Coordinator of two other NATP: Phase-1 sub-projects, and two contract research projects of BARC. I further worked as Institutional Coordinator of five (ADP and JDCF) projects; (i) Strengthening Biotechnology Laboratory and Tissue Culture, (ii) Pilot Project on Sugarcane Cultivation in Chittagonj Hill Tracts, (iii) Pilot Project on Date palm, Palmyra palm, and Golpatha, (iv) Pilot Project on Sugar beet Cultivation, and (v) Create Employment in Char Livelihoods in Northern Areas through Sugarcane Production.

I worked as a Resource Speaker on many selected topics with ‘Organic Matter Management in Bangladesh’,

‘Maintenance of Soil Fertility and Soil Health’, ‘Fertilizer Management for Sole and Intercrops in different AEZs of Bangladesh’, ‘Challenges in Agriculture due to Climate Change’, ‘Poverty Reduction’ and others in the Trainers’ Training and Farmers Training Programs organized by BARC, BSRI, BSFIC and DAE. I monitored and evaluated the DANIDA supported SFFP programs of DAE at farmers’ fields in Chittagonj region. I regularly monitored and evaluated the core research programs and research projects of BSRI both in laboratories and fields at research farms and farmers. I further monitored and evaluated the performances of BSRI developed varieties and technologies in farmers’ fields in different Ago-ecological zones of Bangladesh. I published a total of eighty four papers globally, where sixty eight scientific papers in the accredited journals/Proceedings of many countries including USA. The other seventeen were as Leaflets, Folders, Research Highlights, Technical Reports and Popular Articles. I Worked as Editor, Bangladesh Journal of Sugarcane. I also worked as a Graduate School Representative for Ph.D. examination at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), and supervised M.S. degree student at Bangladesh Agricultural University. I further worked as a reviewer under the ELSEVIER Editorial System for Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, and external reviewer for soil research programs of BARI and BSMRAU. I completed 'Communication Skills Program in English (Advance English 209)' at the American University of Beirut.
