Outside Plant Network and Facility Design Engineer/Engineering Manager/Supervisor (2016 – 2019) with Southern Engineering and Construction Corp., also 10 years experience with Time Warner Telecom/ tw telecom/Level 3 Communications, 30 plus years’ experience in network facilities design for Southern Bell Telephone/BellSouth Telecommunication, Inc. Experience includes using BSTCAD, OSPCM, OPEDS, LFACS systems for design work for specific geographical areas including, but not limited to initial design, modifications, and maintenance of all outside plant facilities from the area’s central office to the end customer premise. This includes poleline, manhole, conduit runs, aerial and buried cable designs utilizing SAD., CAD, and RAD documents etc., minor, and major rehab work, associated economic cost and trouble report analyzing computer programs and data evaluation to determine the most cost-effective approach to solving facility provisioning problems. SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE:
Outside Plant Engineering Program BellSouth Telecommunications 06/28/1978– 09/30/2002 I (Retired) from South Broward District, Florida Engineering Program scope is the execution of Outside Plant Engineering and Design functions required for BellSouth’s network services. We engineer service orders, plant work orders, major program work, new developments as well as routine requests, maintaining and supporting facilities for 1.36 million lines. Broward’s inward movement was 102,977 lines for the first quarter of 1999 while 0 held service orders over 30 days. We coordinate with BellSouth Project Managers/Construction, Governmental Authorities, Third Parties and End Customers to ensure quality and timely execution of jobs. BellSouth’s Broward District, with capital expenditures of +$56 million, covers the second most growing geographical area in the U.S. Also, it is the district used by Bellsouth to deploy new technologies such as Lite span TR303, FITL, Star span, Integrated Lite span, SONET, among others. My responsibility was to provide network facilities for various wire centers in Miami Dade County (06/28/1978 – 10/28/1977), the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, Plantation, Hallandale, Ft. Lauderdale Main Relief, West Hollywood and Hollywood Main wire centers (11/01/1998 to 09/30/2002). RCA MISSILE TEST PROJECT (6/1976-6/1978) DATA SYSTEMS MATHEMATICIAN/ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE ANALYST My responsibility included formatting, debugging, modifying and maintaining computer programs to decipher data derived from the Naval radar tracking ships (USS Arnold & Vandenberg) using Sauvé (an assembler language) for the medium scale Hewlett-Packard modified computers assigned to this project.
