Profile:

I have 30+ years of experience in the field of instrumentation. I have been a Process Control Specialist for 30+ years. My responsibilities include troubleshooting control systems, training and testing instrument technicians, writing/reviewing Safety Interlock procedures, configuring/maintaining the DCS control systems, configuring/maintaining the TMR/safety interlock systems, and configuring/maintaining the steam turbine control systems. I also have project commissioning experience. I have enough background experience to learn any new DCS systems if needed.

Specific Instrumentation Experience:

I have a working knowledge of the ABB Distributed Control Systems, ABB August Triguard Triple Redundant Safety system, and Allen Bradley PLC. I have four years experience with Yokogawa Centum cs3000 and Prosafe. I also have Yokogawa Stardom scada system experience on the company pipeline. I have experience with the Bentley Nevada vibration monitors for rotating equipment and the Compressor Controls Corporation performance and anti-surge controllers. I was the lead instrument technician on the first cogeneration installation on our site responsible for the commissioning of cogeneration unit DCS and control systems. One of my primary duties on the project was the programming and maintenance of the Mark IV turbine control system. I also have a working knowledge of the Woodward governor and over speed trip system. I have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s.

Specific Electrical Experience:

Although my primary skill is instrumentation, I have acquired knowledge of the electrical systems associated with some UPS's, relay logic for the interlock systems, small motor control centers, and some power distribution during my years of industrial work and teaching at a technical school.

Computer Skills and Software:

I have experience in numerous software packages that are used to interface with the different brands of process control instrumentation such as the Guided Wave fiber optic analyzers, the August Triguard Triple Redundant Safety system, ABB Distributed Control Systems, and Compressor Controls Corporation. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

I have experience with SAP writing notifications, work orders, and requisitions.

I have been serving on the Board of Directors at the Sabine Federal Credit Union in Orange, TX. for the last 12 years
