Program now successfully on track to meet this goal.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Program - Point of Entry Desktop Migration

Assigned to assist with the extension and deployment of a global 2FA Authentication program to the Americas. Program had already successfully deployed SecurePass cards to 67,000 end-users worldwide.

The deployment of SecurePass cards to the final 27,000 end-users in the Americas was simultaneously combined with the deployment of a biometric mobile authentication system. Extensive Identity Access Mgmnt (IAM) and Personal Access Mgmnt (PAM) remediation and preparations.

Responsibilities included:

Assisting in the definition of the design and deployment management process (card production, deployment scheduling and delivery process)

Planning issuing capacity to 7 Campus and over 500 Branch locations across the US

Design and implementation of a multi-method end-user communications and training briefs.

Maintaining a comprehensive tracking database to manage deployment phases

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Program – Application Enforcement Migration

Assigned to assist with the migration and deployment of the core major and critical applications of both the Swiss and US Wealth Management division applications.

Responsibilities include:

Determining suitable 2FA compliant target solutions for approx. 120 critical applications

The majority of Applications deemed in scope consisted of home-grown applications with customized authentication systems.

Devising non-standard and non-trivial individual and platform-based target solutions on varied systems (i.e, mainframe, midsized systems)

Coordinating and socializing selected target solutions with applications’ business and technical stakeholders.

Assigned to establish a Process Management Program for the new corporate disaster recovery site for the KPMG Technical Operations and Data Center Operations depts.

Responsibilities included:

Defining process management documentation standards for the new site’s technology operations.

Responsibilities included:

Coordination, planning and determination of cost savings within the 7 component towers of the firm, with special emphasis on identifying their cost savings possibilities, identifying all possible risks and managing their mitigation, planning the viable methodologies to be used as well as negotiating the end outcome.

Program had an anticipated 2-year duration, aimed at converting two (2) key PODs within a central remote data center.to a cloud computing solution.

Responsibilities included:

Preparation of requirements documentation

Evaluation and selection of 10 Cloud Computing Vendors matching needed requirements.

Preparation of a formal request for proposal (RFP) for the conversion

Development of the Selection Matrix for the evaluation and selection of the final Vendor(s)

Assisting in the preparation of the final contractual language necessary for such a conversion.

Portfolio Management “Big Rocks” Reporting.

Preparation and dissemination of the relevant data re: the top 11 Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) programs for senior management consumption.

Responsibilities included:

Coordination and interaction with the program teams

Project has a 4-year duration, $400M budget, covering 320 applications on 500+ servers

Responsibilities included:

Coordination and Technical Planning finalization with the architectural, technical development, and business teams to prepare an effective and viable Continuity of Business (CoB) Testing methodology for the newly created replacement distributed applications.

Creation of standards and Application Recovery Plans (ARPs) for the newly created replacement applications..

Creation and maintenance of an on-line Environment Matrices Library for 20+ environments to support the Infrastructure and Operations Delivery teams (includes Conversion, Proof of Concept, Development, Integrated Systems Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Stress, and Production),.

Preparation and dissemination of a daily Activities Status Report (ASR) tracking the status of all distributed infrastructure software and hardware activities to ensure successful completion..

Conversion of US Market Data Services infrastructure to a unified and global design, and the migration of US-based applications and servers onto the new platform.

Program had a 2-year duration, $4M budget, covering 200 applications on 450+ servers.

Project completed successfully despite extensive scope changes

Responsibilities included:

Coordination and Technical Planning finalization with the UK-based architectural and technical teams as to the means of incorporating recently acquired US hardware.

Infrastructure and support systems acquisition and deployment of new US hardware.

Coordination with US application owners as to methodology of modifying applications for global implementation.

Extensive interaction with US applications business and development teams to streamline the application migration process, including resource analysis and procurement.

Migration of the US eTrading eCommerce servers and applications from an existing DMZ to a new global “secure network perimeter”.

Program had a 2-year duration, $8M budget, covering 150 applications on 230+ servers.

Project completed successfully without any business interruption and incidents as requested and in advance of scheduled deadline.

Responsibilities included:

Coordination and planning, design, ordering of circuits, installation and checkout of the new network infrastructure to two US data centers, including links to the UK and Hong Kong datacenters.

Planning design, repurposing and acquisition of new hardware, installation and operational acceptance of 30 new servers within the new perimeter.

Coordination, planning and migration of 50+ client links to the new perimeter on an external Vendor network.

Migration of the applications, servers and network links from a recently acquired firm to two US-based datacenters.

Project had a hard completion deadline with a sizeable penalty for failure to complete.

Responsibilities include:

Mapping and inventorying of existing circuits, links, servers and applications within the acquired firm’s data center.

Coordinating with application owners and assisting in the migration remapping effort.

Consolidation and Conversion of the firm’s Wealth Management US applications and servers onto a virtualized platform prior to their migration to two new state-of-the-art data centers.

Program was midway through a 4-year duration, $16M budget, covering 500 applications on 2000+ servers

Responsibilities included:

Coordination and Technical Planning finalization with the architectural and technical teams as to new process changes and policies.

Infrastructure and support systems acquisition, deployment, and review of conversion impact policies

Interaction with applications’ business and development teams to socialize impending changes.

Relocation of a primary NY-based datacenter to a new out-of-state site

Project had a 2-year duration, $4M+ budget, covering 150 complex applications on 300 servers.

Responsibilities included:

Planning and layout of new datacenter space and infrastructure support specifications.

Acquisition and deployment of required hardware and support systems at new site.

Development and coordination of migration processes to un-rack, transport, install and test applications and servers at new site within the same evening, thereby minimizing or eliminating any business impacts.

Migration deployment of applications and affected servers to new site.

Full control of budget spend and cost tracking.

Deployment of a new Dual-Networked Infrastructure to the firm’s 450+ branch offices

Project had a 2-year duration, $3M+ budget, covering the installation of both new networking hardware and dual-vendor frame relay communication links.

Responsibilities included:

Development of the Communications Carrier Bid requirements and selection processes.

Planning and layout of a non-redundant, dual-networked communications path to each branch office.

Finalization of the architectural network hardware specifications and project planning.

Acquisition and deployment of required distribution head and branch hardware.

Negotiation of the network path requirements and costs with the two selected Communications Carriers.

Implementation of pilot branch setup, full process review and testing, and final deployment.
