DEC 2021 – PRESENT Security Specialist – Volunteers of America
Key responsibilities: Oversee several homeless communities and shelters to ensure safety of tenants, guests, and employees. Train new hires on our team. Follow de-escalation protocol and monitor potential issues that may arise on property. Document all activity on shift, reporting incidences in a timely manner, and communicate effectively with law enforcement and other departments within VOA. Help identify tenants who may be in crisis or need additional resources to secure their housing.
SEPT 2020 – DEC 2021 Freight Handler – Safeway
Key responsibilities: Receive, log, and stock inventory using scanners and other computer inventory programs. Fulfill customer orders and pack them according to department standards. Load and unload boxes from incoming deliveries. Troubleshoot problems that arise with deliveries. Monitor and ensure safety protocol is met during shift. Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklift and pallets.
SEPT 2018 – DEC 2019 Meat Clerk/Butcher assistant – Albertsons
Key responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service by filling all meat orders, by weighing properly and packaging according to department standards. Continually maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized working environment. Unpack, stock, and complete inventory sheets. Follow all meat handling guidelines.

Committing myself to personal and professional growth involves constant education and service in and out of the workplace. I am able to continue to grow by serving my community and volunteering. I have volunteered in many arenas such as coaching youth sports, community events to support homelessness, and fundraising for the Sickle Cell Task Force.
