Ravi has over 25 years of DB2/UDB DBA (Database Administration) experience on RS/6000 and IBM Mainframe environments under large scale IBM/MVS Mainframe computers. Provided DBA support for both DB2 V9 on z/OS and DB2 UDB V10.5 platforms in an SAP R3 environment. Created SAP Databases for Business Objects, CRM, Business Intelligence warehouse applications. Created Mainframe DB2 V10 for z/OS Databases, storage group, buffer pools, tables, indexes, and views on tables.

Experienced in supporting large volume DB2 databases in DB2 UDB DWE environment. Created BI, BO and CRM Databases in SAP R3 environment.

Experienced in implementing DB2 Replication, HADR, Backup and Recovery strategies, performance tuning and installation of DB2 on UNIX/AIX platforms.

Supported the DB2 UDB V10 DWE environment with a database size of 60TB, 7 logical nodes and using BCU configuration. Added new BCU to the existing Production environment.

Implemented and tested incremental backup strategy to reduce the backup duration during the maintenance window for daily/weekly run scheduled backup jobs in DB2 UDB EEE environment.

Installed new version of DB2 UDB V10.5 Fix packs in DEV/TEST regions and migrated the changes to Production environment following the Change Management procedures.

Experienced in using DPROP tool for DB2 UDB V10.5 Replication between Mainframe/Unix DB2 databases and other non-DB2 databases on z/OS and UNIX/AIX platforms.

Assisted the development team to write queries and to load/import the data into DB2 tables.Enhanced the application performance by running RUNSTATS, REORGCHK and ONLINE REORG utilities.

Supported TSM environment and monitored the database backups/logs being archived to TSM, scheduled a weekly job to delete the backups/logs from TSM using db2dutl utility per the retention period.

Involved in Data Migration from DB2 Mainframe V9 to DB2 UDB V9.7 in UNIX/AIX platforms. Also, involved in migration of DB2 V8 to DB2 V9 in Mainframe z/OS environment.
