ACADEMIC PROJECTS (https://github.com/poojapatilhr): Market Basket Analysis (Machine Learning): (GitHub-Link) Jan 2023 - Feb 2023

• I developed a python (Panda’s dataframe) program that utilized the Apriori algorithm to analyze transaction data from a grocery store. This allowed me to identify frequent item sets and generate association rules using confidence and lift values.

• By utilizing these association rules, I gained insight into customer behavior when purchasing groceries. This knowledge helped me make informed decisions about which food items to sell alongside others in the store to maximize profits. Homeowners Compensation Analysis: (GitHub-Link) Oct 2022 - Dec 2022

• I conducted an in-depth Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify the relevant variables for developing two Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) models of sales price. Estimated the MLR models using the R programming language to predict suitable compensation amounts for homeowners impacted by a road expansion project.

• Derived a mathematical formula that government officials can utilize to accurately determine compensation figures for homeowners in future scenarios involving similar road expansion projects. Wait First Securities Stock Analysis: (GitHub-Link) Sep 2022 - Oct 2022

• I conducted an analysis using Simple Linear Regression (SLR) model on a sample of Apple, Intel, and Kroger stock data against the SP500. Did Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to analyze S&P 500 and three stock returns, computed summary statistics, and built CAPM models to assess beta significance.

• After conducting a comprehensive analysis of the data and considering investment objectives, it was observed that Intel stock exhibited lower volatility and robust performance in both bullish and bearish market conditions compared to Apple and Kroger stocks. Consequently, a purchase recommendation was made for Intel stocks. CERTIFICATIONS:
