refurbishments and running teams
from the office, I am looking for an
opportunity to bring my expertise to a

potential. Technically excellent and a
born people person, I bring to the

management experience, I
understand the bottom line, making
me an incredibly efficient engineer; I

customers. From my engineer
experience, I am an effective

lift industry – it runs in my blood! My
father has worked with lifts for nearly
five decades and my son is an
apprentice engineer now.

a love for sports, travel, and social

Kone PLC - Staff Engineer
August 2017 - March 2022
Scheduling day to day maintenance and rota changes for a team of eight, organizing repair team’s work and materials, and managing open service orders. I am often first point of communication with customers, handling complaints and attending customer meetings. Additionally I cover my own service route and night call one week in four.
Temple Lifts - Service Manager
2012-2017
Managed 11 service routes, one technician, and the repair department. Maximized and increased profitability by introducing procedures to reduce call-outs, improve material management, and ensuring repair profitability via site audits. Prepared reports and presented montly to the Board of Directors. During this time the company grew by six routes and reached each set financial and growth target.
Kone Inc Vancouver - Supervisor
2009-2012
Managed a team of eight mechanics and one technician in Downtown and North Vancouver. Charged with running the routes with maximum profitability, yearly budgeting, communicating between management and staff, customer communication, coaching and training field staff, and the ordering and controlling of parts and materials.
Kone PLC – Apprentice/Senior Engineer/Repair Supervisor 1991-1993, 1997-2003, 2006-2009
Lift maintenance and repair, emergency after-hours call-outs, and fault troubleshooting. Managed repairs including materials, labour, producing site files (incl. health and safety, risk assessments, and method statements). Looked after two Kone repair teams and numerous sub-contractors; solely ran repairs for the key account of Barclays Bank southern region.
