Principal Engineer II 2007-2021

Last project focused on testing and deploying DAA (Distributed Access Architecture) for NGAN with validation of vendor RPDs and RMDs to include integration with vCMTS’ to include validation of interworking with all customer CPE in the Comcast footprint (Video, VOD, and EAS)

Coordinated with field systems and tech support engineering teams on developing and validating SMOPs, reducing length of maintenance, and identified technical issues for resolution.

Planned test architecture, authored and led integration efforts, supported deployment and authored all test reports.

Led automation effort with both on-shore and off-shore teams to develop and implement automation that allowed parallel testing, extended actual testing periods to reduce test cycle times.

Developed automated monitoring capabilities to perform health checks on network devices and video quality.

Partnered with security team to test all core video devices for security vulnerabilities on a continual basis.

Implemented plan to address and resolve security vulnerabilities for core Video devices.

Coordinated with both internal organizations and outside vendors to implement new features and resolve defects.

Validated all Arris DAC controller releases prior to deployment to field systems.

Transitioned VOD services from QAM RF based delivery to IP delivery.

Developed working implementation of SDV as part of planned Time Warner Cable merger.

Tested and deployed Remote Phy (multiple vendors) within the Comcast footprint.

U.S. Patent Number 7,614,073. Co-Inventor. Digital Headend and full-service network for distribution video and audio programming.
