Porter Flooring (2018 - Present)

Check equipment, communicate with owners, responsible for the work vehicle, refinish and finish hardwood flooring. Buff, sand, & stain floors.

Inspect floors for smoothness. Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation. Scrape and sand floor edges and areas inaccessible to floor sanders, using scrapers, disk-type sanders, and sandpaper. Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools. Attach sandpaper to rollers of sanding machines. Load materials into construction equipment. Guide sanding machines over surfaces of floors until surfaces are smooth. Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools. Apply filler compound and coats of finish to floors to seal wood. Apply sealants or other protective coatings. Remove excess glue from joints, using knives, scrapers, or wood chisels. Remove excess materials from finished construction projects.
