TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

Bacteriology (aerobic and anaerobic): Manual and Automated 19th september 2019 Blood culture systems, Routine culture and sensitivity of specimens (exudates and body fluids, blood, CSF, respiratory samples, urine, bile and stool) and sensitivity testing, BACTEC, VITEK ID. Gram staining, Acid fast staining, Giemsa staining, endotoxin test/assay.

Mycobacteriology: Mycobacterial staining, culture, sensitivity testing and molecular techniques used in the diagnosis including drug resistance detection. Line probe Assay,CBNAAT,trunat,DST,liquid culture, MIGIT 960,LIMS.

Mycology: Routine processing of various specimens, identification and isolation of clinically significant fungi by culture, LPCB, slide culture, KOH/Calcoflour white mount.

Parasitology: preparation and screening of wet mounts and stained specimens by concentration and flotation techniques, culture method and screening of occult blood in stool specimen. Identification of demodex species in eye lashes by saline mount.peripheral blood smear for malaria, rapid tests.

Serology: Immunofluorescence techniques like ANA Global, ANA profile, pANCA, cANCA,ELISA,Rapid tests for HIV, HCV,HBSag. Agglutination and precipitation techniques (Widal test, Weil-Felix test, Brucella agglutination test, TPHA and RPR) and latex agglutination tests (CRP, ASO and RF).

Virology: Cell culture, Immunofluorescence assay. Viral Quantification-TCID50,Plaque assay, Hemagglutination. Serological assay-Virus Neutralization,Hemagglutination inhibition,Plaque Reduction Neutralization Test, Lateral flow assay, ELISA.

Molecular diagnostics: Real time PCR, Nested PCR and Multiplex PCR, MALDITOF-MS, DNA/RNA Extraction, Nanodrop, AGE, Spectrophotometry, LAMP assay, Formulations preparation, gene analysis-ROTOR Q, Genexpert. Rapid one step real time PCR, Biorad CFX, Applied biosystems. NGS(Illumina), Digital PCR, Cepheid GeneXpert.

Media preparation with quality control, maintenance of stock cultures ATCC, internal audit, Quality control, dashboard preparation.Examination of sterility of drinking water, environmental sterility check.
