I have been a nurse since 2008. I started nursing with Family Health Group in 2008. My responsibilities were patient care, triage patients in rooms and point of care testing. I worked there until Dr. Linda Monroe retired. I then went to work with Maury Regional Medical Center in the skilled nursing unit. My job was to be the medication nurse working along with the RN. In 2010 I was able to return to Family Health Group in my same clinic and was doing patient triage and point of care testing. I worked her until 2013. I left after my mother was put on hospice care. I did not work from April 2013 -April 2014. During that year I took time off after the death of my parents and to get the estate taken care of. In April of 2014 I began working with Vanderbilt Medical Center in the Walk in Clinics. My responsibilities were patient triage, point of care testing, injections, wound care and phone triage. I started with the Cool Springs location after they opened. In 2015 I became a Team Lead. I worked in the Spring Hill, Brentwood, and Nolensville Locations. In 2019 I transferred to Cool Springs Rheumatology with Vanderbilt. I have been working there ever since. I am currently looking for a part-time weekend position.

Communication

Currently in my position I work with one provider on Monday, Tuesday, 1/2 day on Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday afternoons and Thursdays, I help around the clinic with other providers, phone triage, injections, medication refills and drawing labs.
