oCapstone: Work with a 5 person team to build a tensile test machine for Klim, a motor sport clothing manufacturer. We have began testing and are nearing final assembly. Researched current ASTM testing standards to ensure data gained from our machine will be accurate to those standards. Used Ansys to ensure that the machine will be strong enough for Klim’s applications.

oMachine Design: design a spring powered cannon to test and measure the relationship of spring compression and projectile distance. 3D printing used to build test hardware.

oInternship: Lead several different projects from cradle to grave. Major project was redesigning a method of mounting motors to a conveyor belt system. New mounting method allowed for components to be easily replaced with few custom made parts.

oMechatronics: use MatLab to operate a flight simulator that calculates the forces and torques created by the engine and airspeed.

oFabrication: operate mills, lathes, drill press, sand casting etc. Build a C-clamp.

oDesign and build a simple device that would increase counter space by covering a sink. Design constraints were affordability and fold for compact storage.

oDesign and build a “comfort cloud”. A concept of mine intended to help a person relax. Cascading lights were used to simulate rain falling from a cloud.
