Implemented from the ground up the prefabrication department. Created an easy-to-use catalog for field employees to order electrical end item sub-systems. Created a full-service department that reduced field man-hours and increased profits (estimated average of $900,000 per year).
Lafayette Steel & Alum. 2014-2018 Maintenance Manager
Oversee the construction of a new maintenance facility and implementation of TPM, operator preventative maintenance and a maintenance team. Oversaw the installation of a new shear & press brake. Implemented several machine improvements reducing production cost and time. Modified several machines to bring them into required safety standards. Recreated a 5S system and enforced a sustaining process. Implemented a vender managed stocking system involving hardware, filters, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical. Maintenance downtime was reduced 67% over the first 2 years.

There are 10 questions I’ve been asked during interviews so I figure I would just answer them now; I hope they will help in your decision to call me.
What is the largest project you ever managed? The largest monetary project I managed was a powerhouse for the Westinghouse Factory in Indianapolis. $18.9M, however, I have run several projects consecutively and simultaneously.
What was the largest and smallest amount of people you have had to manage? I have operated with as few as just myself. I have also supervised project with as few as one and to roughly 75 employees.
Are you comfortable around large equipment? I have a very strong industrial background around machinery, vehicles and high-speed conveyors. I have no fear of heights or confined spaces.
Have you ever had any experience with Lien Manufacturing or Six Sigma processes? Yes I have studied the Toyota Manufacturing Process (Lien) in college and have put it to use throughout my career. I have obtained my Six Sigma and have achieved my Black Belt through MSI/Purdue University with a spectacular track record with projects.
Do you have any sales experience? Yes, I have taken several courses from Jim Reid, (a protégé of Zig Ziggler). In the time that I did have opportunity to put the training application to use, I grossed $15k per month. This was an educational process that I have incorporated into my consulting and managerial processes.
Can you work on drives and inverters? Yes, I am well trained and qualified on the following brand equipment>>> Allen Bradley, Boston Gear, Automaton Direct, Hitachi, Fuji, Dart, Magnatek, Danfoss and Square D. I also have a certification for Impulse AC Drives.
Do you know anything about PLCs? Yes, I do and have become very familiar with the following types of software (to include ladder logic)>>> Device Net, Allen Bradley, Automaton Direct, Koyo, Panel View
Can you troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment? Obviously, I do well with electrical, but I am a fair hand with Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanical and Steam. I also have a strong experience with lasers, presses, cranes, hoist, conveyers & heavy machinery.
Do you have any experience in food processing? Yes, I have worked on projects in industrial bakeries, confectioners and liquid processing Aseptic. I am familiar with many of the special regulations concerning the USDA.
Do you have any machine certifications? I hold certifications for maintenance on Trumpf Lasers, Trumpf Tru-Punches, Cincinnati Press Brakes and Air Systems Analysis. I am certified to terminate fiber optic, Category 3, 5 & 6 cabling and High Voltage terminations (3M) I have worked on Version, Standard, Cincinnati, Bliss, Stamtec & L&J punches. Standard, Accur-shear & Cincinnati Shears. A variety of benders to include Horn, Pines & TWI. I also have a familiarity with Miller & Lincoln welders and plasma cutters; conveyers and robotic devices.
