KEY PROJECTS

AIRBNB IN HAWAII – TABLEAU: Created and visually presented interactive dashboards for Airbnb Hawaii project to colleagues and staff which helped digital visitors who are trying to find Airbnb in Hawaii based on multiple factors. A Time Series graph was plotted to visualize the available listings of the rental houses. An attractive geographical plot was included to drill into the location of the popular places and stay in Hawaii. Documented the report with methodology, validation and testing to peer reviews.

NBA Statistics and Insights Project – SAS Enterprise Guide The analysis focused on several topics including the evolution of the 3pt shot, player height, the Universities that produce the most NBA athletes and PER (player efficiency rating) by position. In collaboration with my team I was able to discuss the objectives and solution strategies to find out the top 10 drafted colleges during the period 2010 to 2017 using pl/sql commands. I also came up with an analysis on the number of foreign players drafted since the 90s. This gave us a valuable insight into the spread of foreign players in the NBA.

Market Segmentation Analysis – SAS 9.4

Performed a breakfast/ granola snack bar market segmentation analysis utilizing NCS – National Consumer Survey 2012 data. In the analysis the target population was Hispanic, women aged between 20-24 and 40 to 44. For this, various psychographic and demographic questions were used. Both k-means clustering, and GAP Analysis were performed for a well separated 0.2 difference to form 4 different clusters. Of which Cluster 1 has the highest female population of 61% that included almost 40% Hispanics, in Cluster 2 most of the women are middle-aged etc.

PIMA INDIAN WOMEN – PREDICTIVE MODELING: Advanced analytics, machine learning and predictive modeling has been applied to predict whether a female patient over the age of 21 has diabetes on PIMA diabetic csv dataset in the RStudio platform with good accuracy of 81 percent,. The presence of non-linear combination of predictors resulted best with the ML algorithm, Quadratic Discriminant Analysis (QDA) that outperformed other models after preprocessing and cleaning the data. NOISEBRIDGE – REAL TIME NLP project: Sentiment Analysis was performed to find the evolution of the NoiseBridge – hacker/maker space. Identified and gathered the relevant and quality data sources to fully capture the whole data through testing and scraping data from the web using Python in a conda environment. This demonstrated my ability, flexibility and creativity in unsolved problems in analytics. A study was performed based on the sentiment scores to see how the maker space has evolved from 2007 to 2023. The growth of this space started gradually increasing both monetary wise and hackers’ cooperation wise from the year end of 2013 onwards.
