Astoria Power. 550 Megawatt 2 on 1 combined cycle power plant in Astoria, NY. The plant is made up of two GE 7FA combustion turbines, one Alstom side exhaust turbine, Alstom HRSGs and Marley air cooled condensers. The project value is $565.0 MM; it is fully subcontract, and 100% union.

Senior Project Controls Manager, Fluor Daniel, Houston, TX
Exxon – Sakhalin 1 OPF Project, USD $3.1 billion Onshore Petroleum Facility. Early construction phase developed RFP, Bid, and Award construction functions while building the man-camp for 5,000 people.
Chevron – Clean Fuels Project. Supervised functions within $183 million refinery upgrade project that included 14 units of plant’s refinery facilities; managed 6-person home/office Project Controls team and oversaw Cost, Scheduling, Estimating, and Project Accounting functions.
Achieved objectives for bringing plants in compliance with clean fuel requirements. Leveraged strong scheduling background to assist construction team with pre/turnaround schedules.
Shell Chemical – GOAL Venture Program. Led $520 million program consisting of 6 concurrent projects. Supervised team of 16 in activities that included development and maintenance of schedules, cost reports, performance database, and change management system.
Ensured progress through comprehensive tracking and reporting on 60+ contractors.
Dow Chemical – PMDI Project. Served as Project Controls Team Leader in managing 5 employees (cost engineers and schedulers) that developed and maintained project controls department from front-end loading to start-up of 2 Texas Polymeric MDI projects.
Played key role in success of PMDI program that included $148 million expansion and modernization of LaPorte Polymeric MDI facilities and $244 million grassroots Polymeric MDI initiative.
Caspian Pipeline Project, Moscow. Directed team of 6 (3 expatriates and 3 Russian citizens) in developing and maintaining schedules, reports, and calculating/reporting systems for Russian Pump Stations Project as part of $2.5 billion pipeline from Caspian Sea to Black Sea.
Produced comprehensive documentation to facilitate progress for pump stations valued at $205 million. Teamed with client to review and address processes; approved invoices, time cards, and expense reports.
DuPont – Sabine River Works Program. Managed team of 8 project control engineers in projects that ranged from $250,000 to $2 million in capital value. Developed and implemented cost, schedule, and estimating tools. Held full responsibility for project controls covering all on-site construction projects.
Nominated for DuPont “Excellence in Engineering Award” in 1996 based on development of cradle-to-grave forecasting system for project resource requirements.
