OBJECTIVE

Self-employed System Analyst and DIY Enthusiast seeking technical job or trainer in any area of Automation, 3D Printing, CNC, and System Building.

INTRODUCTION (I’m a ..)

o Automation Enthusiast

While I have not done this professionally Automation has always been a fascination. My first hands-on experience on automation is building home-brew irrigation and fertigation system for hydroponics based on Arduino; as well as some other small projects such as home lighting control, photography lights, storage temperature and humidity control, etc. o Functional Product & Technical Tools 3D Designer I have a working skillset of 3D designing with Autodesk Fusion 360. I am currently doing this for hire. My clients ranging from household members, researchers, hobbyist, students to government offices. I mostly help them making tools and prototypes.

o 3D Printing Technician

3D Printing in its core is automation in smaller scale. It requires regular maintenance: calibration, rebuilding, replacing and modifying parts. That requires one to have a thorough understanding of its anatomy, functions and the controlling logic. I can confidently say I could build one from scratch if need be. o DIY (Do-It-Yourself), 3D Modelling & Prototyping What sets a DIY person apart is we think there’s always a better way to do things: less effort, faster, more precise and effectively, etc. The ability to design and make prototypes takes DIYers to another level: fix or improve on existing parts or make a completely new functioning models. You will find my expertise in this very useful. o Business-minded Systems Analyst

Observing business processes are an absolute delight for me. Understanding a client’s need and existing workflow are the key to a seamless system design. In addition to that I put myself in their positions while trying to build a system that does not just replace paperwork or legacy system but also help them to get results quicker and efficiently; and by the same token higher-level management get real-time access to overseeing progress.

Business-mindedness, complemented by technical skills, allows me to build systems that simplify workflow –thus faster-- and are cost-effective.

In designing a systems’ objectives I embrace technology as well as recognizing other equally important factors such as whether the proposed systems would have positive impact on the company’s day-to-day operations both internally eg. less-paper, ease-of-use, time-savings, real-time tracking, peer supervision, etc. and externally eg. faster delivery, faster document turnaround, shorter queues, higher customers satisfaction, etc.). o An engineer by trait and a problem-solver by nature Systems integration often calls for creativity and logical thinking combined, breaking and conquering problems and sometimes challenging other people believe in what could or couldn’t be done. I don’t give up easily especially when the stakes are high – solving it would have a major impact on the bigger picture. Why? Because I treat every project as if it was my company and I’d like to see it running in the best way possible.

` o Business Administrator & Operations Manager by chance (early career) My earliest corporate job started out ‘in the copier room’ –a design division of a bottling company, to be exact. In two- months time I was re-assigned to a vacant post as Finance & Accounting staff –I had never heard of an accounting term: C.O.A.-- and had to take a self-funded private crash course. Six-months later, once again, I was re-assigned to head a profit-center (PET bottle production) with an all-around responsibilities including: staffing, logistics, accounting & head of operations. Granted, all those took place by virtue of sheer luck I must admit. Many other systems analysts/engineers never had the luxury of ‘experiencing both sides’ as I have.

I thank my employer for ‘throwing me in the pool before I can swim’. Apparently you learn faster when your life depends on it.
