I have 29 years of experience as a graphic designer, starting in the sign industry, where I worked while I earned my Bachelor’s degree at Winthrop University. After graduation I went to work at a small local printer in Rock Hill. My wife and I made the decision to return to Greenville, where I worked as a graphic designer in the marketing department at Guardian Building Products. When part of the company was bought out and I got laid off, I went to work for another small local printer as a combination of pre-press, graphic designer and customer service, before moving to Indexx where I work mainly in prepress with a small amount of design. Pre-press

Duties mainly consist of taking customer-supplied artwork and making sure it is ready to print for either a traditional two or four color press, digital printing or wide format. This includes checking the size, color and the type, proofing the readied art to the customer, and imposing the art for the press to make the best use of the paper or other material it’s being printed on. I am currently the main graphic artist for Burco, a company Indexx operates that produces mainly golf scorecards.
