With a rotation schedule in place Monday through Friday I worked clinic for different doctor everyday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Responsibilities consisted of printing out the doctors clinic schedule(one for me and one for the doctor)for the day. Getting rooms set up per doctors preference, make sure all cabinets are stocked and beds are cleaned with paper pulled over bed ready to start clinic. Call patient from waiting room, get vitals( height, weight, BP and temp). Walk with patient to room. In room go over questions and make sure all needed info is asked. Input all info into patients chart along with updated meds and any new doctors. Print out pt report, write what room pt is in on top right corner, place on a clipboard and have it ready for doctor to see patient. Read over doctors summary with patient and walk to patient out. All doctor referrals or requested medical records for that clinic is done before the end of the day. Clean and restock each room at end of day.

Working 14 years as the only hairstylist for retirement home brought nothing but pure joy to my life. I worked for the home itself so therefore the residents don’t pay me anything unless a haircut ($5) or a perm($35) was needed. This was the only retirement home around that offered FREE of charge one a week shampoo, set and style and/or shampoo and blow dry. 87 residents were weekly on my books with each having there own day and time to come Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:45pm. Perms were done on Fridays. With the help of my sweet shampoo assistant and able to have four blow dryer chairs everything ran smoothly never skipping a beat. This was one of the most rewarding careers the Lord blessed me to be able to do. January 2004-December 2008
