My assignment was in the Mental Health section. For four years, I have been working in the Crisis Intervention Team. Helping a person that is having a mental crisis as well as the family members that need assistance. One of my roles was being the incident Commander of the hostile scene and direct personnel where they were needed. I have been called to scenes or residences when a person has died to assist the family with the trauma. I have over a thousand hours of classroom training in de-escalation and hostile crisis techniques. I have completed the FBI hostage negotiator course and Mental Health First Aid course. During this assignment we are dispatched to assist persons having a mental crisis, having suicidal or homicidal thoughts. I have experience with persons that were barricaded in their homes wanting to kill themselves. On site Incident Command experience with on scene suicidal/barricaded persons. Helping the citizens and off base military personnel of El Paso

Investigated criminal and civil cases by gathering evidence, taking statements, interviewing witnesses and victims. Experience in surveillance and tracking persons.

I have experience training new officers as well as civilians that work in the Crisis Intervention Team.
