Clinical Rotations Inpatient:

Cardiology Jackson North/Jackson South Medical Center (147 hours) Performed daily rounds in med/surg, telemetry, ICU, CICU floors. Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses such as HF exacerbations, MI, hypertensive crisis, dysrhythmias, PE, cardiogenic shock. Diagnostic testing interpretation: EKG, TTE, CTA. Observed direct cardioversion with TEE in the management of atrial fibrillation.

Internal medicine Miami VA Medical Center (113 hours)

Performed daily rounds in the spinal cord injury unit and ICU. Managed veterans with complex spinal cord problems while devising individualized treatment plans for acute illnesses including traumatic brain injury, pneumonia, sepsis, acute kidney injury, pressure ulcers, DVTs.

General surgery Baptist Hospital Main Campus (181 hours)

Performed daily rounds on pre/post-op patients. Evaluation and operative treatment of acute abdominal illnesses, hernia repairs, surgical debridement.

Emergency Room:

Emergency medicine Jackson South Medical Center (288 hours) Evaluation and treatment of respiratory distress, cardiac arrest, altered mental status, stroke, trauma, chest pain, abdominal pain, lacerations, fractures. Performed CPR, ABG draw, FAST exam, peripheral line placement, abscess I/D, laceration repair.

Pediatric emergency medicine Holtz Children's Hospital (66 hours) Evaluation and treatment of children with AOM, URI, MSK injuries, asthma exacerbations, dehydration, GI infections.

Obstetrics emergency triage The Women's Hospital (121 hours)

Evaluation and treatment of pregnancy complications including preeclampsia with severe features, third trimester bleeding, premature rupture of membranes, labor and delivery.

Outpatient:

Cardiology Miami VA Medical Center (26 hours)

Observed exercise/pharmacologic nuclear stress testing. Evaluated veterans with chronic HF, CAD, HTN, valvulopathy, unstable angina.

Family medicine Miami Beach Community Health Center (153 hours) Performed annual physicals on adolescents and adults. Management of diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disease, HIV.

Pediatrics Kidzchoice Pediatrics (40 hours)

Performed well child and sick child visits. Administered vaccinations.

Psychiatry Benessere Medical Institute (80 hours)

Evaluation and treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia.
