PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

CHALK MOUNTAIN SERVICES OF TEXAS LLC – Fort Worth, TX 10/2017 – 10/2022

President (01/2019 – 10/2022) & Consultant (10/2017 – 12/2018)

I led an Award-Winning Safety Program to earn the company’s first-ever safety awards, including the Safest Operator and Grand Champion awards from multiple external organizations.

I further led the team to improve Department of Transportation (DOT) safety scores, decreased accident occurrences, and reduced costs by more than 90%. An additional point of pride is the record-setting milestone of 30 million-plus miles driven without a single DOT-preventable accident by any driver.

To achieve this milestone, I leveraged technology and rolled out dual-facing AI dash cameras across the commercial truck fleet that leveraged video-based safety systems

Implemented a new corporate communications program to improve employee engagement, inspire a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect to improve employee retention

Led the company’s training program through strategic and tactical execution of instructor-led training (from computer-based training) for all drivers to improve company safety scores to the top 1% nationally

Pursued acquisition and investment opportunities in the lower middle market, focusing on the healthcare and consumer sectors, including distressed and underperforming businesses

Consulted with a Dallas-based PE group on a strategy in the insurance brokerage market to acquire companies to build a $100M enterprise

In 2004, I led three healthcare businesses acquisitions out of bankruptcy, restructured management and operations and brought the businesses back to being healthy and successful.

Led Dougherty’s Pharmacy/Dougherty’s Holdings Inc post-acquisition in 2004 to grow to the largest independent retail pharmacy in TX and one of the 10 largest in the US. We were later recognized for a superior customer base, exceptional customer service, and industry-leading product selection.

I also led two other specialty pharmacies, implemented operational improvements, restored to profitability,

and sold to strategic buyers in 2007 & 2008
