Roles and Responsibilities

The clientele of the projects involved supporting EpicCare Ambulatory platform along with Mychart, Order Transmittal in clinics across different states in the USA, by building new components, enhancing the current system configurations and resolving the various incidents raised by the users for smooth functioning of the Epic application.

Responsible for Analysis, Build and testing of ambulatory service requests from offshore. Responsible for individually delivering high quality performance within due timelines in an agile framework. Played a major role in leading the Banner Health Implementation project, as a primary lead of the ambulatory team, where I provided at-the-elbow support during the go-live phase. This involved providing offshore support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth transition of the implementation process. Experience with various Ambulatory complex builds such as Preference lists, Flowsheets, SmartTools, SmartSets, Navigators, Profiles, Workflow engine rules, Reports, Print groups, Inbasket Pools, Results Routing, Facility structure builds, MyChart Set up, Procedures, Departments, Provider records, User records, Security templates and Decision support tools like BPAs. Implement requests, break fixes and enhancements, resolve incidents reported by epic end users and escalate any quality issues or risks with team leads/project leaders. Updating the AMB owned items in various master files. Experience in MyChart build of the SER records. Performing IMO Snomed clinical content load every 6 months for the Banner Health client in collaboration with the on-site team, and testing post the load and creating an analysis report of the IMO load. Understands and follows established Epic change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes.

Performing data courier of the build across all the Epic environments from POC to PRD. Work on routine maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues and implement fix within agreed upon SLA. Peer Review & Status Reporting of the service requests/incidents. Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate performance of all functions. Conduct effective unit, integration, system and end user acceptance testing through execution of the tests. Experience in installation of Special Updates (SU) from Epic and upgrades of newer versions of Epic and testing them to make sure that the application works as expected. Part of the Testing of SUs (Special Updates) and validating the test scripts. Reviewing and testing special updates, release notes of EpicCare Ambulatory module. Preparing the Application Understanding Document (AUD) for Banner Health client which is serving as the base document for the entire team.

Created a knowledge repository for the critical and complex issues that we work on. Troubleshoot questions and issues of epic end-users. Created documents involving the analysis, build creation and validation steps, for the users as a part of the post support Implementation.

Mentor the new hires by shadowing and conducting internal training sessions for the EPIC ambulatory module, MyChart and Order Transmittal modules.

QA experience (Manual + Automation) testing of life cycle and functional testing of healthcare software s such as Cerner Millennium, Soarian Fin/Clin, Allscripts - SCM/ACM, Meditech McKesson Series/ Paragon. Analyze individual requirements for Test Case design Prepare test cases for new enhancements and share the approved Test Cases with the client.

Career Break (2021-2023)

I got married and relocated to the US to reunite with my life partner after two years of long-distance relationship. I made this move to support and raise a family. In the meantime, I made two attempts to apply for a H1B work visa, but unfortunately my application couldn’t get through the lottery system, so I decided to wait for my EAD

(Employment Authorization Document) which I received in Jan 2024. Meanwhile, I got recertified in the latest version of Epic Ambulatory module (2023) and additionally completed Healthcare Project Management courses. SKILLS
