On October 20,2020, I was onboarded into FedEx as a package handler. This involves removing packages and parcels from a conveyor belt, scanning them, and placing them on a delivery truck. Attention to detail is a must for this job as well as the ability to think and react quickly. In December, 2021, I was promoted to the position of Package Handler Trainer. This position involves not only knowledge of the basics of package handling, but it also involves excellent communication skills. I have been successful at this due to the skills I learned while working at Central Piedmont Community Action and through the skills I learned from my Human Resource Management training, in particular the implementation of "Soft Skills", not to mention executing this responsibility via the knowledge of the ADDIE method of instruction. This position also gave me the chance to incorporate LEAN strategy as a way to get my trainees to better understand the different aspects of the processes they will undertake as well as how to utilize this strategy to assist them in becoming more efficient. I learned, was tested, and passed various specific safety aspects of the FedEx responsibility profile/protocol as well as overall workplace safety issues.
