Established Lean procedures, eliminated logjams, and introduced ERP/MRP systems, reducing engineering rework from 40%+ to sub-2% and cutting the scrap rate from 90% to <10%, raw material costs by 10% and inventory documentation by 50%

Principal Design Engineer & Program Manager
Led design and build of a multi-million dollar long-endurance unmanned U.S. Army airship, used for operations and payloads in the Middle East, taking project from requirements gathering to flight testing in 10 months; designed airship’s now-patented ballast recovery system
Led the development of a new propulsion system and presented the published paper to the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)
Directed an engineering program to develop two rapidly elevated aerostat platforms (REAP), providing ‘high ground in a box’ to troops in theatre; travelled to Iraq to participate in operational evaluation and deliver military personnel training on the new systems
Designed new UAVs with improved endurance, propulsion, efficient airframes, and a greater payload capacity, delivering the initial flight test prototype in less than six weeks
