Objective
Mechanical Engineering student with a strong academic background and hands-on experience designing, testing, and manufacturing mechanical systems. Seeking an internship to apply my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, committed to advancing engineering excellence for product development and contributing to company growth.
Education
Wayne State University – College of Engineering GPA: 3.59 Expected Graduation Date: May 2026
Major in Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Honors Mechanical Engineering Minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Research Experience
Soft Robotics and Manufacturing Mechanical Engineering May 2023 – Present
oResearch on squid-inspired jet propulsion with incredible swimming efficiency and noiseless maneuvering.
oDesigned and fabricated squid-shaped robots using silicone, utilizing a simple molding technique.
oWe use Shape-memory alloys (SMA) to control the robots. SMAs exhibit the ability to recover their original shape upon heating, making them suitable for applications requiring actuation.
oI am responsible for implementing different ways of fabricating the robot as a multi-jet propulsion system.
oRequires skills: CAD, Siemens NX, 3D printing, Arduino, Problem-solving, and Critical Thinking.
oWon funding from the UROP Program for the Winter – Summer/Spring 2024 award cycle.
Engineering Projects
RC Car Project (September 2022 – December 2022) – Led a winning RC Car project, earning first place for its creative design and impressive performance. Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Siemens NX for advanced design, 3D Printing techniques, programming Arduino for enhanced functionality, and applying critical thinking skills to overcome project challenges.
Independent Arduino Projects (May 2023 – Present) – Developed a functional calculator through Arduino IDE, leveraging coding skills to integrate a keypad and a screen to display results. Designed LED light configurations to spell out distinct words using Morse code.
Wayne State Robotics (August 2023 – Present) – Collaborating with a diverse team of accomplished engineers across various specialties to enhance a ground rover equipped with a visible processing unit and multiple advanced sensors.
Work History
Leader at The Digital Philanthropy Center (April 2023 – Present) – Led a 10-member team in strategic communication and networking initiatives with university alumni and friends. My team has raised over $100,000 in donations for Wayne State University.
Student Assistant for Chemistry Department (May 2023 – Present) – Skillfully organized labs by preparing chemicals for student experiments, showcasing precision and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ensuring timely setups for hundreds of students.
