Senior Telecommunications Engineer

Supported all areas related to AVAYA G3r PBX. Duties included ACD (automatic call distribution) database adds, and changes located in Milford, Eastern Europe and US based remote sites. Maintaining all telephone circuits, T1 and POTS lines, connected to the PBX. Including adding and/or trouble shooting any outages with related carrier vendors. Creating adds and changes to AVAYA CMS (call collection database) and voice mail system. All adds, moves and changes to desk top telephones (VOIP, digital and analog.) Running CAT 5 cabling and phone wire for newly set up labs. Terminating closet and work area jacks for both phone and desktop computers. Assisted in the initial stages (tandem) of converting from AVAYA PBX to Ring Central Unified Communications. Assisted in setting up all European and US sites. Mostly data base entry and non ACD functionality.

Accomplishments:

Project management of all AVAYA PBX upgrades as needed.

Multiple lab cabling demo and wiring reconstruction.

Averaged 50 desktop telephone changes per month.

Responsible for all related database back-ups.

Accomplishments:

Move all circuits in the Lincoln Call Center from the OC12 MUX to the vendor programmed OC 48 NUX

Achieved 100 percent up time on Aspect ACD’s for four years.

Responsibilities included installation, service and preventative maintenance on all Massachusetts area (average 12 to 15 assigned sites) Aspect ACD systems. All upgrades, patches and change modifications performed in a timely fashion. In 1999 update all legacy UNIX OS to Microsoft Window NT.
