MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Coordinate with external stake holders, Customers/ Client and internal peer group.

Coordinate with local authorities for any HSE and emergency matters.

Develop and implement HSE Management System, i.e., Procedures, measures and controls related to project activities.

Update and monitor Risk Management & Project Risk register.

Ensure all personnel on the project including Sub-contractors and visitors are provided with guidance, equipment and documentation to deliver works.

Developing/ preparing and revising all contractual required documents, i.e., Health, Safety and Environment documents, Risk Management related documents and Security related documents.

Act as Facility Security Manager.

Carry out Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) inspections services to ensure the activities are with utmost control of hazards which includes worker welfare accommodation.

Coordinate and monitor the activities of subcontractors.

Carryout HSE audits to the counter departments, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the HSE compliance.

Assist and coordinate training and competency management.

Monitor HSE performance of the team and individuals, advice and implement strategically plans to improve.

Deputize for the Company HSE Manager and assist with the day to day running of the HSE Department.

Assist in reviewing and revising the project Health, Safety and Environment plans and the development of HSE objectives.

Assist in establishing training material and deliver training to assist both management and operatives to work safely as well as continually improve with HSE performance of the project.

Setting and establishing the appropriate HSE organisation with particular focus on increasing awareness training and induction of all project personnel including Sub- contractor personnel.

Setting of standards, targets and awareness are raised at all levels in the organization.

Develop and maintain a local HSE management system to support the wider programme system, including training requirements, site monitoring, safety performance’s improvement identification and KPI reporting.

Assist Sr. Manager on all matters relating to HSE, which includes but not limited to the Management System, Safe Operational Procedure to mitigate the risk involved in each activity.

Keep abreast of legislative changes and developing best practice associated with occupational health and safety and monitors the compliance.

Spreading awareness and assisting the project to implement the Company and HSE Policies and procedures.

Investigate incidents, accidents and significant observations, preparing the gap analysis to improve the management system.

Support and assist procurement in the selection of sub-contractors and suppliers from an HSE perspective.

Initiated a behaviour-based program that influences workplace safety culture

Implement the permit to work system, preparing JHA and Risk Assessments for activities

Maintain a well-organized records/ files.

Educate and train the work force through the safety induction, various training and giving topic for the toolbox talk.

Inspect and monitor all emergency lifesaving equipment’s.

Assist site team and management in preparation of traffic detours and monitor the compliance on ground.

On call availability for any emergency to the Project needs even after duty hours.
