I have twenty years in frozen lab. My strong points are microtomy and embedding. Cytology, FNA’s cell blocks. I scrubbed out for surgery. I have a great report with all the doctors I have worked with the last twenty years.

September 8, 2008 thru March 2009 North Cypress Hospital HT/ASCP Full time, Lead technician. I process tissue, embed cut special stains. Process cytology I assist with all FNA’s and Frozen. Since I helped in the opening of this lab, I wrote procedures and did the CPT Codes and Medical codes for billing.

May 15, 2005 thru June 2008-Twelve Oaks Medical Center HT/ ASCP, Supervisor, Lead tech full time part-time. I embed, cut biopsies and routines, perform all special stains, Frozen lab. Assist with all special procedures etc. (FNA, bronchoscope.) Supplied the lab with whatever we needed.

May 6,2004 thru PRN- Brown Associates

HT/ Cytology Tech: PRN bases. I embed cut and stain the Histology specimens, I also do gross at Willow Brook for Brown when needed. 1997 thru April 1 2005- Baylor College of Medicine HT/ Cytology Specialist: Prepared lab for inspections. On PRN, bases I prepared cytology specimens embed and cut research. I did all frozen for research in the lab. I helped with frozen at other area hospital affiliated with Baylor.

1996 thru 2002- The Methodist Hospital

Lab technician: I entered all specimens, made sure all specimens matched all requisitions. I assist with all FNA’s, processed quick mount for bile crystals. I assist Dr. Ramsey’s Pathology fellowship the techniques for processing the specimens before the screening process begins. These methods were by Thin preps, cytospins, and cellblocks, with either thrombin and plasma or alcohol and formalin. I prepared lab for inspections. I also prep slides for CAP and other research. I helped prepare lab for inspections.

1994 thru 1995- Doctors office of Kaplan & Lindsey Dr’s medical assistant: I assist with Protoscopes, Colonscopy, and Bronchoscopes. I assist the doctors with what ever they needed, blood pressure, weight of patients scheduled appointments cancelled appointments. I also scrubbed out for surgery and removed staples and stitches and gave injections.

1990 thru 1993- Rapides Regional Hospital / Cytology Tech. Including pap smears. Micro- pore filters for all Body fluids and cell- blocks when asked. Entered all specimens, did QC. I went to various hospitals in the Central Louisiana to assist physicians with Specials Procedures such as Fine Needle Aspirations, Bronchoscope, and Colonoscopy, scrubbed out for surgery to collect and prep specimens. Pulled specimens and slides for pathologist and sent slides off to other hospitals. I also attended and assisted with autopsies Schedule Bone Marrows. I Prepared Q.C and Q.A monthly.

1989 thru 1990- Rapides Regional Hospital

Histology- technician/ cytology tech: I did frozen lab and grossing bays and Cytology.

Embedding, cutting, and processing specimens. Prepared surgical specimens, logged in and charged specimens. I also pulled tumor conference slides. I answered the phone sent out slides. I filed Pathology reports.
