Young & Rubicam (pre VMLY&R) 1973 - 1996

• In Brasil, joined at start-up with one client in 1973; rose to general manager after growing the agency to 15 clients (45% of which were local).

• Transferred to Venezuela as president in 1986 to turn around a failed acquisition; identified and led the acquisition of a profitable local agency, reinforcing Y&R’s presence in this key market.

• Returned to Brasil in 1989 as Vice President, Latin America, responsible for major regional clients and multi-discipline strategic planning and management.

• Transferred to newly relocated regional HQ in Miami in 1993 with responsibilities for regional clients and multi-discipline integration, planning, operations.
