Leads vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of occupational health and safety within a startup environment, with the company going public in 2021, building EHS documentation and management systems from the ground up to support the construction of a commercial facility, which opened in Q1 2023. Ensured compliance with OSHA regulatory requirements and Department of Homeland Security (CFATs) guidelines.

Served as the architect of a framework of EHS and risk management programs, processes, protocols, and best practices to satisfy regulatory requirements and enabled the facility to begin operations.

Fulfilled a critical role managing EHS operations worldwide, including OSHA’s Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals (PSM), EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP) and other environmental compliance programs impacting air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, and spill control. Maintained the facility in a continuous state of readiness for internal and external audits, including an annual audit by the Department of Homeland Security. Overall, exercised responsibility for EHS for sites in New Jersey and California, as well as overseas in Korea and Singapore.

Trained and coached site workers to ensure awareness and compliance with all company policies and legal / regulatory requirements regarding EHS in domestic and international environments. Oversaw the Contractor Safety program, which required project managers to maintain accountability for safety compliance among contractors.

Reich hold is one of the world's largest suppliers of unsaturated polyester resins for composites and a leading supplier of coating resins for a wide variety of markets and applications.

Managed a budget reaching $350,000 for EHS operations, with a scope of accountability that included environmental regulatory compliance programs, hazardous waste management, investigations and corrective actions, chemical inventory management, safety data sheets, and the tracking and reporting of safety statistics.

Engaged with a hazardous waste disposal company to evaluate costs, develop waste profiles, and build a business case to secure funds for remediation. Managed ongoing regulatory reporting associated with a state-approved remediation plan.

Coordinated, developed, and led EHS training for employees in an on-site capacity as well as through an online Learning Management System. Maintained all required regulatory training schedules and documentation for site employees including OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHS and local/state requirements.

Collected and compiled data to prepare and file environmental permit reports for air, waste, water, and other regulated areas.
