EXPERIENCE

2021-2023 Free-lance 3d artist.

2018-2022 free-lance traditional artist

2017-2021 City Wonders tours. Onsight art history lecturer

I worked mainly in the Vatican museums, having an official license from the Vatican and in the Galleria Borghese. The emphasis of my lectures was on renaissance and Baroque art, though included a large amount of Greek and Roman art. I stove to give the historical context of a piece of art, the main ideas and the general zeitgeist of the age it was produced and stove to explain the significance of the pieces in the development of western civilization as a whole. For instance how the scientific revolution and renaissance do not happen in a vacuum, but the science grew up alongside arts development and to illustrate how perspective, mathematics and objective realism was presupposed for both disciplines. Or how the discovery of the new word expanded the role of discovery in epistemology.

I worked with a variety of people from different education levels, backgrounds and levels of interests to try and lead them to better understand the history of human civilization and the role of aesthetics in civilization, as well as how the creation of beauty was instrumental in the development and tempering of human instincts in the west.

I’ve also worked in many of the other major museums in Rome, including the catacombs of Rome, local churches with important historical significance, but these two were my primary point of focus while working for City wonders.

2006-present Eternal City Education. Onsight lecture.

Was responsible for researching, preparing organizing information, doing fact-checking and developing an entertaining dynamic presentation of the history of Rome, art history, archaeology, theology and other relevant knowledge as it related to the larger whole. My clients ranged from high school and university school groups, pilgrimage groups, to a single individual who wanted a one-on-one discussion about sites of their chousing in Rome. Responsibilities also included that I used Italian speaking drivers, arranged meals and other hospitalities.

Sites were mostly based in Rome, but expanded beyond to archaeological sites outside Rome and to further sites like Assisi, and Florence.
