Desire a leadership position to utilize my over 40+ years in the Submarine Force in Technical, Program Management, Business Development and Executive positions. Goal to grow or establish your business.

In August 2023 – WR Systems Ltd. As their Corporate Lead Executive, I was responsible for all Submarine Program leads, pursuits, and Strategic capture. Responsible for all submarine related Business development and new business.

August 2005 – 2019 Sr. VP for Maritime Programs. L-3 Communications is a leading worldwide supplier of acoustic undersea warfare systems, having designed, manufactured, and supported a broad range of compact, lightweight, high performance ASW systems for navies around the world for over forty years. Their extensive portfolio spanned a wide range of platforms, including helicopters, submarines and surface ships, which employed our various ASW systems. We evolved from being a key supplier primarily for the U.S. Navy to a provider of products to over 30 foreign countries and all services. I was responsible for over $750 Million in sales and had P&L responsibilities. I was recognized for my role capturing the largest contract in L3 history at that point in time. Over $1B.

1981 -2005 Lockheed Martin. Waterfront and managed the Norfolk Land Based Test Facility NLBTF for Submarine Combat Systems at the SEABAT in Norfolk, VA.

Staff and senior positions in engineering, Program Management then as the principal business development Director for an $800M division of the Lockheed Martin organization in Norfolk and Minneapolis. Specifically, responsible for over $300M in sales annually. Part of the Lockheed Executive Capture Team on the LCS Program and Virginia Class NPES. Recipient of many Presidents Achievement Awards for excellence and sustained superior performance. Was instrumental in capturing over $1.8B in new business.

Washington Operations - Registered lobbyist at both LMCO and L3. Iinstrumental in successfully capturing significant congressional issues and associated funding. Supported over 20 Co.’s issues and engagements. Very familiar with the DOD budget and the legislative process.

1977- 1981 Newport News SB & DD -After the US Navy I worked for almost 4 years in sign department on the Los Angeles Class Submarines at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co.

1971-1977 USN Qualified in Submarines on SSN’s 594,595 and worked on many first of class CNO special projects including the early design stages of the Tomahawk and Harpoon Cruise Missile programs. Participated in multiple deployments and combat patrols to Southeast Asia and the Pacific AOR.

John received a BSBA (minor in Computer Science) from Liberty University and has completed the DSMC course for Program Managers.

Life member of the Navy League, Naval Submarine League, National Defense Industrial Association, and held several committee positions and co-chaired the communications subcommittee from 1986-1989. He was on the Executive Committee and spent 8 years on the Board of Directors of the Naval Submarine League..
