Program Manager Consultant, October 2022 to Present

The Ranger Group – Dallas, TX

Responsible for the replanning, rebaselining and closeout of a heavily invested DO-178 DAL-A engine controller for a client company out of Chicago. Utilizing a team of US-based and Europe-based software and hardware engineers, and a foreign-based end customer, we put together an updated project plan that optimized the use of budget, sprint based tasking and optimization of resources (and minimizing scope creep) to complete the FAA-based (Canadian Air Authority) certification of software.

Integrated into a new program management tool that established tight controls on project planning, project execution, project metrics and project reporting to senior management.

Program management responsibilities for two new product introduction programs, both dealing with fluids management of aircraft engine systems.

Responsible for the migration of new designed product into the manufacturing flow, including engineering prototypes, subcontract component design, test and manufacture, first article inspection and first unit delivery.

Senior member of the avionics programs team responsible for rapid design to product and long-term strategy commercial and military programs for the company, using matrixed (local and remote) design teams shared with 20+ other avionic projects. Responsibility for cost, schedule, SOW, technical and contractual performance, including tracking all required customer deliverables within the organization's cross-functional teams.
