2023-2014 Worcester Public Schools Department of Nursing, Worcester, MA
Director of Nursing and Health Services for a large urban school district.
Provided leadership and oversaw the practice of 100 school nurses, LPNs,
and MA/CNAs in the provision of evidence-based care for 3-21 year old
students. Collaborated with outside health care providers to coordinate
vision and dental care for students in the school setting. Hired a Chronic
Health Care Coordinator to recruit LPNs and MA/CNAs to provide direct
care for students with complex health care needs during transport and
while in school. Opened a vaccine clinic in downtown Worcester, staffed
by an RN to provide students with state required vaccines. Wrote and
acquired substantial grants to improve student health outcomes while
