Created a shop floor machine scheduling and inventory control system which distributed invoice labor cost. Maintained and developed software for order entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, inventory control, and wrote timeclock software, all in COBOL.

Improved order entry so that stock and simple process orders could be taken over the phone, with the customer usually receiving a quote before call end. Created customer information system for account database management used by credit department and for customer relations.

Designed and wrote context sensitive, interactive help system. Automated web based sales reports, making customer contact numbers clickable via smart phone, directly from the legacy COBOL application. Imrpoved process flow so that better than 99% of delivered orders could be invoiced by the following business day.

Added features so credit could email statements, invoices, and service fees directly from legacy COBOL applications.

Captured all data entry so it could be reviewed for error tracing and process improvement.
