This company was a chemical plant that produced solutions for the medical industry. They also produced health & beauty products.

My job duties included reviewing batch tickets and checking in all necessary materials needed for the product being produced that day, working with employees on a production line to fill chemicals safely into containers, communicating with management on any problems that may occur on production line, operation machinery and making sure the machinery ran efficiently, using small hand tools to fix certain parts, replacing teflon tape to sealing bars, weighing and inspecting products to make sure they are acceptable per QC standards, packaging bottles into boxes to be put on skid for shipment, maintaining a clean working environment.

This company was an essential worker position that I took during the pandemic. I was responsible for operating machinery to package individual N95 masks through a machine and up into a cartoner machine where they were boxed and put onto a skid to go out to our customers. I was an lead assistant and ran my department with 10-15 employees. I would do scheduling and placing employees with specific tasks for that days shift. We would set goals for our section and strive to meet them by the end of the shift. I changed labelers and performed changeover to new lot numbers and expiration dates. We reached the end of our government contract and we were given severance and bonus pay due to our location being closed.

Job duties included accepting orders for grocery stores and mass retailers, reading orders and specific requests, personal shopping to make sure all items ordered were bought, picking out only the freshest item available, communicating with customers about items in or out of stock, replacing items with similar items per customers requests, paying for items at checkout and making deliveries to customers front door by the time alloted or time requested.
